Club Founder: Mike Hughes

Coach Hughes attended Palo Verde High School in Summerlin from 2010-2014. There he earned a handful of scholarships and decided on UNLV to be the football program and school that he would join. After, he would join the Jacksonville Jaguars for a couple of years as a undrafted free agent. Coach Hughes started his coaching career in the 2021-2022 season at LMCA as the defensive coordinator and defensive line coach. There he coached with his former UNLV teammates and captured the 2A State Championship in their third season. That entire staff now resides at Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon as they attempt to make it their permanent home.

Along with improving your performance on the field, you will receive the support of a mentor that has been to the highest level. As a mentor, I will continue to improve my knowledge by traveling and interacting with some of the best teachers of the defensive line position in the country. Here will also be a community of athletes on the same path as you. The 702 Trench Club believes in Competition, Community, and Integrity! We all will compete with one another, as iron sharpens iron.
